Front End, User Experience
NYSHEX ensures cargo moves as planned with two-way committed contracts that radically change how shippers and carriers do business, improving relationships significantly.
A startup, I worked directly with the CEO of NYSHEX in the basement of his home for 6 weeks in New Jersey to produce a rapid prototype that you now see presented in the video. With my guidance, we worked through user challenges to arrive at how complex shipping concepts could be visualized easily and how users could connect to the radical (for the shipping industry, especially) concept of quickly engaging a container contract as a shipper.
In addition to user experience, I established the frontend architecture for this project using Angular JS and developed the concept you can see in the video with HTML, CSS, and JS.
The project concluded in NYC with a presentation to potential carriers that I was pleased and grateful to be a part of. The frontend rapid prototype moved directly into backend development.
